Social Impact

Use football to reach people beyond football.

Football can create belonging, responsibility, learning and intergenerational connection. We develop and deliver projects where the sport is the vehicle — not the final objective.

What Social Impact means here

Structured interventions with a clear target group and useful local outcome.

Football Abroad combines programme design, educational content, practical delivery and project coordination. We can contribute as a project partner, coordinator or local delivery organisation depending on the assignment.

Football is the vehicle. The social or educational outcome is the objective.

Current & previous projects

Silver Goals · Erasmus+ · Project coordination

Football as an intergenerational resource

Silver Goals connects older adults with grassroots football clubs through meaningful volunteering opportunities. The project promotes active ageing, social inclusion and intergenerational learning while strengthening local clubs.

INCLUDE ME · Erasmus+ · Project partner

Football as a tool for social inclusion

INCLUDE ME was created to engage young adults in marginalised areas through football and to develop educational tools that help coaches create safe, inclusive environments.

Football Abroad contributed as an Erasmus+ partner, with pilot delivery involving young adults in Spain.

Relevant to public partners

Experience working inside structured, publicly funded project frameworks.

Erasmus+ is not the same as a municipal procurement, but it develops relevant delivery discipline: clear target groups, partnership coordination, timelines, documentation, implementation and follow-up.

Programme design

Translate a target group's needs into activities, learning outcomes and a practical delivery model.

Partner coordination

Work across organisations, countries and professional environments.

Delivery & documentation

Activities must be delivered and trackable — not only described in an application.

Learning & reuse

Useful methods should be improved and turned into programmes that can be delivered again locally.

For municipalities & organisations

Start with a local problem, not with a grant application.

Funding matters, but it should not dictate the idea. We first clarify who the programme is for and what would constitute meaningful progress.

  • Youth leadership and pathways into community roles
  • Social inclusion through local football environments
  • Adult education and volunteer development
  • Intergenerational learning and active ageing
  • Grassroots club capacity and community engagement
From projects to programmes

Turn project learning into practical in-person programmes.

We want EU-funded development work to leave behind more than a final report. When a method or curriculum proves useful, we turn it into a structured in-person programme that municipalities, clubs and community organisations can commission locally.
